Time To Privatize Canada’s Airports

To lower the cost of air travel and stop the costly loss of passengers to the United States, Canada should privatize its airports. Major Canadian airports are run by not-for-profit corporations known as local airport authorities. In addition to all major operating expenses, they must pay high rents to the federal government. To balance their books and finance improvements, the airports charge high landing fees, leading to higher prices for both passengers and cargo.
