 Canada Does Not Need a National Energy StrategyWe have been hearing a lot in recent months about the need for a Canadian energy strategy. Beyond saying “it must not be a rebirth of Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Policy from 30 years ago”, no one seems able to define what it might mean going forward. Those who favour a centralized strategy either don’t understand free markets or they’re trying to introduce something into the current energy market that is just not natural.
