Canada Does Not Need a National Energy Strategy

We have been hearing a lot in recent months about the need for a Canadian energy strategy. Beyond saying “it must not be a rebirth of Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Policy from 30 years ago”, no one seems able to define what it might mean going forward.  Those who favour a centralized strategy either don’t understand free markets or they’re trying to introduce something into the current energy market that is just not natural. If the effort succeeded, the end result would surely be a cap-and-trade system. (~2 min)
