Alberta's Nuclear Power Saga (Duane Bratt)

Interest about whether Alberta should have nuclear power has waxed and waned over several years. When the price of gas was high, there was substantially more interest in nuclear power than when gas price dropped. Although the political perspective is less predictable, the issue was seemingly decided when the Alberta government announced in 2009 that nuclear power was a private sector decision and that the government would not subsidize.  Breakfast on the Frontier remarks by Professor Duane Bratt in Calgary, January 26, 2012.
