Energy Exports to Asia – Get on With It

Commentary in the Edmonton Journal.

The sooner we open up access to Pacific tide export facilities, the better.  One thing the federal government could do now to expedite the process is to commit to negotiating land claims compensation with First Nations and allowing pipelines to get started on construction.  It should not be up to Enbridge or Kinder Morgan to negotiate the complex path of utility corridors.  That is a role that the federal government should take a lead.
