Canada’s public schools are not helping students with No-zero grading policies that are now common across much of the country. In Edmonton, physics teacher Lynden Dorval wasn’t looking to become a celebrity. But the decision by the 35 year veteran of the classroom to refuse to go along with his school’s no-zero grading policy for students who don’t hand in assignments ignited a nation-wide debate earlier this year.
